Dear 2008 Wolverines Cheerleader and Family, On behalf of Winchendon Pop Warner’s Board of Directors, welcome to our second season! I am very excited about our upcoming year.  Last year we had five fantastic squads that exhibited and competed in the area…two of which advanced to the Regional finals!  Pop Warner is a big commitment.  Our Tiny Mites and Mitey Mites will practice 2 to 3 nights a week and our Junior Pee Wees, Pee Wees, and Junior Midgets practice 3 to 4 nights a week. In order to participate, we will need some important information from you before the season officially begins August 1st: 2008 Pop Warner physical form (both sides completed) Copy of your 2007-2008 report card with all four quarters completed Original town or city birth certificate if you did not participate with us last year (this will be returned to you) $60 for your spirit pack (which includes t-shirt, hair bow, and sneakers) payable to Winchendon Pop Warner We provide five money calendar raffle tickets need to be sold and turned in at equipment hand out in July If you know of anyone interested in coaching or helping, they don’t have to be an expert in cheerleading! Please have them call or email me. Our monthly meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of the month at 7PM at Nik Rylee’s… all are welcome to attend! We will have our sizing meeting on Saturday, May 10th, at the Clark Memorial. Your spirit pack payment of $60 will have to be paid in full. 9AM    5, 6, & 7 Year Olds                10AM  8, 9, & 10 Year Olds              11AM 11 Year Olds and Older We are having our second annual cheer camp in July… don’t miss out, last year’s was a lot of fun and the cheerleaders that attended got a head start on the season! Save the following dates for competitions: Tiny Mites and Mitey Mites exhibit at least twice at the end of the season.  Junior Pee Wees, Pee Wees, and Junior Midgets compete at least three times at both Fun Comps and the CMPW Comp, more if they advance.  Dates are as follow: Fitchburg Fun Comp                       October 18th or 25th @ Fitchburg High School Fitchburg, MA CMPW Competition                       November 1st @ Mass Mutual Center Springfield, MA *Regional Qualifier                         November 8th @ Ryan Center Kingston, RI Cheer Central Fun Comp                November 15th @ Leominster High School Leominster, MA *NE Championships                       November 22nd @ DCU Center Worcester, MA *If a competing team finishes first or second at the Local Competition, they will advance to the Regional Qualifier.  Top two at the qualifier compete at the NE Championships.  Top two teams at NE advance to the National Competition. The National Competition is located at Disney World in Orlando Florida and takes place from December 7th to the 13th. If you have a conflict with any of the above dates, please notify me ASAP.
